Our Lady of Christendom – Spain<\/strong> (NSC-E) is an annual pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Covadonga (Asturias)<\/a> organized by a group of faithful lay Catholics devoted to the celebration of the Holy Mass according to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite<\/strong>. It takes place around the feast of St. James the Apostle (July 25th)<\/strong>, patron saint of Spain.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The aim of the pilgrimage is the sanctification of the soul<\/strong> through the graces asked to Our Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, by the offering of prayers, sacrifices and mortifications<\/strong> during three days. During these days of pilgrimage we especially commend our Homeland and the Holy Father<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

NSC-E seeks to contribute to the restoration of the spirit of Christendom – according to our possibilities and always with divine help – which has given the Church and the world so many saints, heroes and defenders of the Faith. We are talking about Christian social order, which is only possible if we commit ourselves to the restoration of everything in Christ, beginning with those of us who are on pilgrimage, our families, and the various spheres of society in which we find ourselves.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

For such a endeavour, we place our trust in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, basis of the christian life. Therefore, an important part of our apostolate is to encourage and stimulate the devotion to the Holy Mass. The Mass is the same Sacrifice of Christ on the Cross, offered by the Son of God to the Eternal Father, to obtain the graces necessary for Salvation. The Church has always taught that the Holy Liturgy is one of the ways by which the Good God communicates to us His Grace, that is, the Trinitarian Life itself; it also teaches us the truths of Revelation in a particularly admirable way (lex orandi, lex credendi<\/em>), for it is inspired by the words and deeds of Our Savior. With this in mind, NSC-E wants to make known and loved the Mass celebrated according to the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite<\/strong>, whose celebration was favored and recommended by Pope Benedict XVI’s motu proprio Summorum Pontificum<\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We want to show, then, the need to restore the christian social order through the graces received in the Holy Mass.\u00a0<\/span>For all this, NSC-E makes an annual penitential pilgrimage to Covadonga to ask our Mother for the necessary graces to be able to carry out this task.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
