How to create a chapter<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

To form a Chapter it is necessary:<\/p>

  1. To be a group of 7 people (at least).<\/li>
  2. Appoint a \u201cChapter Chief\u201d who will be the active link between the chapter and the NSC-E Organization.<\/li>
  3. Choose a patron saint or Marian invocation that identifies your chapter.<\/li>
  4. Write to capitulos@nscristiandad.es<\/a> to receive instructions from the NSC-E Organization.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    CHAPTER CHIEFS<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Our pilgrimage is a model of \u2018Christendom on a small scale\u2019. In the image of Christendom, the pilgrimage is divided into two powers: the temporal power, which rests mainly with the chapter leaders who, under the auspices of the pilgrimage organisers, enjoy autonomy\u2014albeit limited\u2014and are practically sovereign within their chapters; and the spiritual power exercised by the various chaplains under the direction of the General Chaplain of the pilgrimage, subject to the authority of the Church.<\/p>

    The chapter system represents the practical application, in the specific context of a pilgrimage, of the social doctrine of the Church. The chapters are organised by geographical area and correspond to natural communities (a town, parish, religious institute, family, school, etc.). People of any age, social class or movement may participate within them, thus conforming to the idea of society and hierarchy that flows from the social doctrine of the Church. The chapter leader, who is responsible for the souls of the chapter, performs the essential function of the pilgrimage; he is the link between the pilgrims and the leadership that must ensure the smooth running of the whole pilgrimage.<\/p>

    The chapter leader must make the objectives of the pilgrimage his own. The importance of his role in the pilgrimage must be reflected in a committed and proactive attitude. He must strive to ensure that his chapter lives in an atmosphere of prayer, apostolate, action and prayer throughout the year. He is responsible for the doctrinal integrity of his chapter. He therefore takes care of his own personal formation and that of his assistants, and exercises his teaching role with the greatest possible charity. His interior life must be in keeping with the demands of his office. He must strive to be an example of natural and supernatural virtues. A chapter leader must possess the virtue of charity; he must know each of the pilgrims in his chapter and must show great sensitivity towards them. Thus, the chapter leader must develop a strong desire to evangelise, a missionary spirit. For this apostolic mission to bear fruit, the chapter leader must be well-formed. He must regularly set aside time for spiritual and doctrinal reading. Furthermore, as far as possible, he should take part in a spiritual retreat at some point during the year.<\/p>

    Chapter leaders are responsible for the material and spiritual well-being of their chapters. However, in the interests of fostering unity within the pilgrimage, they must consult with the organisers on any important decision relating to the pilgrimage or its preparation. They must uphold the objectives, principles and regulations of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Cristiandad. Before stepping down from their position, the chapter leader must plan and prepare for their succession in an orderly manner.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    HOW TO APPLY?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Those interested in standing for the position of Chapter Leader should send a letter of motivation to the Coordinator of Chapter Leaders (capitulos@nscristiandad.es<\/a>). In this letter, in addition to explaining the reasons for applying for the position, candidates must confirm their commitment to the objectives and ideals of Nuestra Se\u00f1ora de la Cristiandad. Furthermore, the candidate must have two persons in positions of authority to endorse their application, at least one of whom must be a priest of the Catholic Church.
    The Coordinator of Chapter Leaders, together with the other members of the pilgrimage\u2019s management team, will review the applications and, after contacting the referees if necessary, will respond to the applicant within two weeks of receiving the letter.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
