Families
As a fundamental unit of the Christian Social Order, Our Lady of Christendom seeks to enable families to become increasingly involved in the Pilgrimage. For this reason, since its foundation, it has been possible to register for the family route, which is shorter than the full route and suitable for children aged 6 and over. For the 6th Pilgrimage, in 2026, a new registration option will be added: the little-route, adapted for children aged 0 to 6, as it is suitable for pushchairs. Details of both routes are described below.
Family route
What is it?
You will walk between 11 and 14 km a day. Transport between different points along the route is provided by the organisation’s buses.
Which chapter do they fall under?
Pilgrims who choose this route are integrated into the chapters of the complete route.
Who is eligible to register?
The recommended age for the family route is between 6 and 12 years old, always accompanied by a responsible adult.

Little-route
What is it?
The route involves walking between 3 and 5 km per day on paved roads, making it suitable for strollers. The starting point will be designated by the organizers, where participants must arrive by car and can park there. After completing the route, a bus will take participants back to their vehicles, which can also be parked at the campsite.

Pilgrims who choose this route are integrated into the chapters of the complete route.
Who is eligible to register?
The recommended age for the family route is between 0 and 6 years old, always accompanied by a responsible adult.
Important information
- Participants must drive their own cars to the start of the little-route, where they can park and where the bus will take them back after the hike has finished.
- Use of the bus is compulsory. If you do not intend to use it, please do not register for this option.
- For the 2026 edition, places will be limited to one bus.
- Children under 3 years of age do not occupy a seat, so they must sit on their parent’s lap.
- Those registered will receive a parking pass from the organisers authorising them to park in the spaces designated for them, including at the campsite.
- Information regarding timetables and locations will be sent to those registered in the weeks leading up to the Pilgrimage.

Little-route – Day two
From La Villa Riba to Montecoya
Difficulty:
- Steep downhill slope.
Distance: 3.30 km
Elevation gain: 32 m
Elevation drop: 101 m
Little-route – Day three
From Parking P2 to Covadonga
Difficulty:
- Steep incline.
- Wooden barriers on the final climb (you may need to lift the pushchair over them).
- We recommend bringing a baby carrier.
Distance: 4.85 km
Elevation gain: 159 m
Elevation drop: 0 m
